I have a new EnviR display and transmitter unit, and the update frequency is now 10s instead of 6s. Is there a reason this was changed?

Was this documented anywhere?

You don't say whether you have only 1 clamp/1 sensor... if so 10s sounds to low - transmitter fault? Won't be exactly very 6s - normally about 1100/hr for 1 sensor ie just between 6 & 7s on average.

BTW, it does reduce if you are using more than 1 sensor - eg a colleague is using 2 sensors from 2 cc transmitters plus one sensor at about every 2.5s and then the total per hour for each cc sensor reduces down to 900 or so. There's some more emails about this somewhere in the forum trying to work out why...

I just have 1 transmitter w/ 2 clamps on it. I had the same setup before w/ Envi 128 and it does/did 6s samples, now with the EnviR transmitter, it only gives me 10s samples. So I'm just wondering why the hardware updates changed? Maybe to increase battery life or something else.

I thought the update rate was driven by the transmitter / sensor box. The display is just a receiver and packages the data -- you should be able to use the Envi 128 and see what data it is providing for the main sensor. I have an Envi 128 with 3 sensors and it pumps out data every 6 seconds (and skips data about 10% of the time).

I've seen the six second interval mentioned, but I can see the RF transmissions from the EnviR Sensable transmitter and they are almost precisely once every ten seconds.

This is with two CT clamps, in the US.
