I noticed a previous poster had noted that their EnviR lost time. I've got the opposite problem where mine is getting ahead of itself.

Is there any way to prevent this or push a time update via the data cable?

I am facing a similar problem........I had bought one 2 weeks ago and it seems to gain 15 minutes every week. I think i am going to return it. I also checked out the earlier post on EnviR and there was no proper solution provided. But if there is anything you come across....let me know.

Mine is also GAINING time. Maybe 5 minutes per month.

We need a firmware update that will adjust the time if the unit is connected to a computer.

Can't be that difficult to do.

Looking at Jack Kelly's pictures, it seems that there is an external crystal that's used for some timing information. I don't know if it's used for the clock or not. The PIC that's used does have a real time clock (RTC) peripheral on-board, but I wonder if it's actually used, given the comment about the clock stopping when a history download is occurring. If the RTC is used, then it does have the ability to be adjusted in software.

Mine doesn't keep good time at all - it drifts enough that it loses around 20 minutes a month.
