I am trying to download history from an enviR unit with no success although the PC s connected correctly to the unit. I am doing it with the currentcostgui application and the history does not download from the unit to the PC. Is there any simple software this can be done with. Thanks Ariel |

Hi Ariel, take a look at this article for details regarding the history: http://currentcost.posterous.com/envi-a ... ory-output A full cycle of history output can be initiated for download on demand by pressing and holding the Down and OK buttons together until the LED flashes. Then release the buttons at the same time - it is releasing the buttons at the same time that initiates the history output. If the clock starts flashing to indicate it is in reset mode, then you have not released the buttons correctly and you will need to do it again. |

I think you'll find that sadly, the EnviR is not supported by the Currentcostgui application. I have been using a regular CC128 Envi with the Currentcostgui application for a few years with no problems but I recently picked up an EnviR which I installed at my son's flat. When I installed the same program on his laptop it would display live data but failed to properly download the history data. I've tried both "Download Once" (which sometimes shows data being received but doesn't do anything with it and sometimes crashes the application) and "Stay Connected" which does absolutely nothing. Hooking up my son's laptop/cable to my Envi works fine so it's an issue with the application not handling history data properly. I looked on Dale Lane's blog and he stated a year ago when asked about this problem that he's never had an EnviR to try, doesn't support the application any more so there's not much hope of getting them to work together. I'm currently looking for an alternative free application to work with the EnviR. |
