Post subject: | EnviR - disabling the historical download |
Just wondered if it was possible to disable the historical download. I'm only interested in the continuous data output as I want to see what happens, when it happens. A 2 hour resolution doesn't really do it. At the moment I'm using a powershell script to convert the xml format data into a CSV file which is then viewed using a spreadsheet+ graph (I'm working on performing live updates to my Cosm account). Since the historical data can take some time to download it interrupts the "continuous" data ouput. When I say "continuous" I mean the data that is ouput randomly anywhere between 6 seconds and a couple of minutes. Thanks. |

Thanks for the response. I'll check the batteries as it is a second hand Eon unit. The separation is about 4 metres. the transmitter is in the meter box that is embedded in the outside of the house. It is viewable through the kitchen window where the EnviR is placed. I don't see any variation in the number of bars that (hopefully) indicate signal strength. They are either all there or I get "------" on the display. A bad transmitter is an interesting phrase. That would seem to imply that there is a fault. Not sure if they are based on zigbee or a more general purpose 433MHz (ish) radio system. Might be able to get a USB RF device which would allow independent verification. It would be nice to resolve this loss of transmission as I want to start investing in other sensors such as gas and additional CT's. I am beginning to feel the pull of openenergymonitor.org |
