Is there a list of Gas Meters that the Current Cost Gas Meter Reader will work with?

Will the data be near real time e.g. updated every six seconds and in what units of energy will the display update in e.g. 1 Cubic Foot and 0.1 Cubic Metres?

Will the new MkII bridge upload the gas readings to mycurrentcost?

Lastly of course, any rough idea when they will be on sale?

Automan.

I don't really have any details regarding the gas meter monitoring at the moment. The next generation of bridge will support it.

I moved into my house last month & signed up with British Gas for gas & EDF for energy which is who the previous occupant was with, I will change next month when prices are stable.

I have got meter readings after about a month. I have checked the British Gas & EDF website but cannot find what the unit cost is?

Can anyone help? Whats a ballpark figure for 1 unit of gas & 1 unit for electricity so I know roughly how much I can expect my bill to be?

GaSmart now on sale.

http://currentcost.com/gasmart.html

My meter has the RJ11 connection so I have enquired about that option.

Also I can't see any sign of the graphing option on the CC Dashboard to show when the gas was used and how much.

OK, Got my GasSmart sensor, and set it up, but should it jsut clip on to the meter, it fits but falls off like a locating clip is not on my meter that should be there.

I have a Actaris G4 and it says 1 pulse =10dm3, so what do I need to set up the dashboard as?

I have the Actaris G4 sensor and can't fit it because my meter doesn't have the "reverse-L" shaped slot. But I have studied the design of the sensor and suggest that you remove the plastic spindle that holds the components together, and insert it into the front of the sensor when located in the meter slot; you'll need a pencil or similar to push it into position down the recessed channel. It should then hold everything together.

Ref "1 pulse = 10 dm3", this means 1 pulse per 0.01 m3, or 100 pulses per 1 m3.

Currrently holding it on by masking tape... it fits it's more like a retaining clip isn't there in my designed meter.

Next problem is the My.CurrentCost.com dashboard is not updating, but the COSM feed shows it's working. Does anyone know if CC are even there, I called and got the answering machine (still no reply) nor a reply to the helpme@ email address.

Ditto - but probably for different reasons; my Actaris was manufactured in 2002 and has the magnet on the left hand side of the meter (found it with a compass) so the supplied GaSmart sensor doesn't fit; but it works fine with tape.

Ref the Dashboard, at the risk of stating the obvious, make sure that you assign the GaSmart outputs to channels that are recognised by the Dashboard; the instructions I was sent said to assign the GaSmart Data Reading output to channel 9, which doesn't exist on my Dashboard because I have a regular NetSmart not the Pro; it worked fine when I re-assigned to channel 3.

It's on channel 2, I only have the standard netsmart pack too. Tuesday/ Yesterday it was working and the gas meter value had gone up, now it's gone back to the reading I entered when I set it up.

Was the reading right, no idea, getting the dashboard reading to actually go up is a start then work out how many pulses per unit is a different matter. As I said I can see the data is getting sent as my COSM feed shows it, just not the current cost dashboard.
