I guess as my A++ Fridge Freezer has used over 29Kw today I should buy a new one or just turn off my bridge?

Automan.

Automan, my bridge was also reporting random spikes. I was advised by CC to send bridge back, and it was returned to CC for 'repair'. I have not seen any spikes for 3 weeks (using 3 IAMs) since being 'repaired', I assume new firmware resolves the issue.

However, what I am seeing now is random 'troughs' every few days, where all IAMs and optismart report '0'. This is not so bad as its doesn't change the scale of the graphs, which is what happens with the 'spikes'.

Do you have any optismarts?

The Bridge mixes up OptiSmart meter reading values with one of the channel watts at very rare random times thus making the watts shoot up to wild values.

As the envir's seem to pump out the mal-formed data I suspect the problem is in it or perhaps the OptiSmart.

Enhanced code on the bridge I guess may be able to filter out the bad data.

Yes, I do have optismart and 3x IAMs. I was seeing same as you before upgrade 1 or 2 spikes every day or so. No spikes at all in last 3 weeks since the bridge was upgraded.

Its a shame you cant graph AND have the meter readings....
Same for not being able to have main optimsmart/clamp act as input for the meters.

Ive still got issues with the clamp and optismart having differences (by a lot) so will be interesting to see how far it drifts.

Not sure if I understand that?

The OptiSmart has two outputs...

One is live "real time" data which it graphs....

The other is the total count of LED flashes which it uses to produce the meter reading.

Automan.

When I set my PV IAM to electricity meter type, it disappeared from the graph....and see my response to your post about metering!

I may have jinxed my bridge, by posting I didnt have any spikes for 3 weeks :(

Upgraded/Repaired bridge installed around 15th Nov, no spikes until 13th Dec (1,224,408w @ 21:20) and again another spike on 14th Dec (137,592w @ 19:06), so it looks like the issue is not fully resolved.

Is is coincidence that I had no spikes for 3 weeks until the website was upgraded on 12th/13th, then they start again?

The 2 spikes I have had are on a single IAM (IAM 1), I dont get spikes on the optismart reading.

I have emailed CC, with any luck they may respond in a few days, if at all.

I am still waiting for a response from my email (other than automated reply).

Oddly enough, today is the first time in days that I have had no massive spikes.

They are indeed very random which I guess is how they got missed during testing.

Automan.
