Is there any problem when connecting the bridge to a LAN and not directly to the router?
Do you have to reconfigure the router in order to let the device communicate with the CUrrent Cost Server?
The device has to own a public IP address to communicate?

Thank you

No the device does need a public IP, nor does it have be directly connect to the routers switch, it could be any downstream switch on your network, or 3rd switch in a line, etc. As long as there is a gateway to get off the lan, and this should be handed out by your dhcp server your fine.
