My nice new Bridge arrived today :)

Only one snag I cannot get it to say anything but FROZEN :(

Never had any such problems with my old bridge and have tried

1. without old bridge off
2. reboot router (AVM Fritz Box)

Looking at my router it would seem it gets a DHCP address but it only gives it local access!

Name CCBRIDGE
IP address 192.168.178.81
MAC address 00:08:DC:94:36:75

I also note that most of the features I wanted are "Coming Soon" and it only talks about one Electric meter, what if you have two?

Automan.

I can see that your bridge has not posted any data. Strange that it is connected to the network, but without internet access. That doesn't make sense.

We'll send a replacement.

Regarding the "Coming soon", the OptiSmart data is posted by the bridge and the visual will be integrated in the next couple of days.

I'm having the same issues of bridge not obtaining and holding an address.
I tried dynamic DHCP, then static via the MAC address.
I've now tried putting it into a DMZ by itself to bypass the firewall but can't get it to hold an address.
System log shows the router continually offering the same (static) address but not concluding with the ACK.
I've raised a ticket.

I have been trying my new Bridge again with my VOIP router after a factory reset.

Still stays at Frozen :(

I have now tried it with a software DHCP server http://www.dhcpserver.de/dhcpsrv.htm and with that it does work.

[HTTP-SETTINGS]
EnableHTTP=1
ROOT=C:\DCHP\wwwroot
[00-26-B9-9B-BC-61]
IPADDR=192.168.178.150
AutoConfig=09/28/2011 13:34:42
Hostname=STUDIO-17
LeaseEnd=1317818082
[00-08-DC-94-36-75]
IPADDR=192.168.178.151
AutoConfig=09/28/2011 13:37:10
Hostname=CCBRIDGE
LeaseEnd=1317818230
[00-21-6A-C1-E9-B8]
IPADDR=192.168.178.152
AutoConfig=09/28/2011 13:38:04
Hostname=STUDIO-17
LeaseEnd=1317818284
[46-FF-6A-B0-5F-44]
IPADDR=192.168.178.153
AutoConfig=09/28/2011 13:38:10
Hostname=Current Cost Br
LeaseEnd=1317818290

So as you can see this is happy with my old and new bridge.

It would seem however the new bridge is more fussy about DHCP servers and I have not had this issue before.

Just installed the real Microsoft DHCP server on my Windows Home Server (Windows 2003).

The old bridge got a dhcp lease straight away while the new one took about eight minutes.

Again, like with my Fritz box it does now work but in a different way....

Live, 32f and 0w !

EDIT:

This time I also had a EnviR issue which was stuck. To fix this bug, one has to set the time again and then the data starts updating...

Automan.

Just received and installed new m'channel Bridge. Frozen out. Netgear router (WNR3500v2) can't seem to see the Bridge. Disappointing. Hope technical support email is answered quickly. Don't have spare router in loft, only an old netgear switch, which I don't suppose will fool the router.

I also use an AVM Fritz!Box 7270 and my bridge is not accepting the DHCP lease it is getting from the router. Instead it is forever asking for a new lease. I did not experience the DHCP issue before my bridge was upgraded...

My bridge MAC is 00:08:dc:fa:ef:dd. Screenshots below show comunication between bridge and router.

Any solutions other then using another DHCP server?

Cheers
