My first bridge didnt have any lights so now have a replacement and its now lighting up when attempting to talk to my dlink router so I am now on square 1 ..

Now have logged in and added the bridge with details but its come up as "frozen" on the my.currentcost gui ..(username = citrus)

Now I am on virgin and have this router (dlink DIR-615) ...alas I am not a networking expert ...so please bear with me ....

Now I have logged on to the router page and ticked the

25 - DHCP Reservation
and added in the mac address of the bridge and given it an ip address in the range

Please see attached router config.

Been through power cycles of the bridge and the dlink router but seemingly cant connect.

Any ideas what is wrong ..did I miss some killer schoolboy trap in the docs ?

Thanks in advance

Citrus

Can I guess that the bridge is sending in requests but the router sends offers the bridge can't accept ?

Looks like its got its knickers in a twist ...any suggestions ?

(you'd think by ticking that box the router would give the bridge only 1 ip !!)

Just to confirm, you are using the power unit which shipped with the bridge and it is plugged into the bridge?

Also, the old display power unit is not used and the envi or envir only has the white cable plugged in connecting it to the bridge?

Assuming the above is correct other than trying a power cycle of the bridge I would email helpme [at] currentcost .com

The bridge should just DHCP itself without you even having to look at your router...

Automan.

let us know if you hear anything - they are remarkably quiet atm - I am toying with the idea of upgrading but waiting for some solutions to the probems people are seeing

so my 3rd current cost bridge arrived ... plugged it in

still get device frozen ....unlike last time I dont get an amber light on the back of the bridge ethernet port

just solid green then blinking green every few seconds ...

now good news is I think it got an ip address

WIZnet% 192.168.0.100 00:08:DC:99:B3:25 6 day(s) 23 hr(s) 59 min(s) 30 sec(s)

I get a ping response back from it ... and dont when I pull the plug ..

have rebooted router and bridge a few times ...

<gets a cup of tea>

logout of the current cost admin site log back in VOILA I now have data !!

Green amber looks like pure green in color & polished in nature. It is so rare in today & also so expensive. It is 1st grade stone.
