Hello,

Can someone tell me how to post to the website without a bridge? I have the USB cable and have been posting to PowerMeter for a while now, but since Google has to save the world in other ways, I thought I'd start looking for a new way to track my energy usage. I logged into the site, but the only thing I can do is activate a bridge.

Have a look at Pachube. They have an app which allows you to get data from your PC to their servers. i've managed to get something working - more by luck than judgement I have to say which sort of uses the same app with a bridge. I am really struggling though to get my feed working and to see my data as data - I have piggybacked my Current Cost bridge feed ID onto someone elses and can see it as a graph but I'm totally stuck on how to do it properly in my own Pachube space. It can't be everso hard coz lots of other people seem to have done it but it's totally defeated me so far

I am hoping that now Google has taken three smart paces backwards and buggered off, Current Cost will do a proper job with the software so they won't have to rely on another fly-by-night like Google who might walk away when they get fed up, bored or disillusioned.

There are utilities you can download right at pachube.com that will interface with the ENVI to get data logged at Pachube.

They are giving away free premium memberships to ex Google Powermeter users right now as well if you ask.

Be warned, the presentation of the data is nowhere near as nice as GPM. It's much more geek oriented than consumer oriented. The biggest issue I find is that it reports both phases of my house (each clamp) separately, so in order to get total consumption you need to add the two together.

I'm hoping to try http://www.plotwatt.com as well as soon as they support the ENVI. The president of the company messaged me on my blog recently and advised ENVI support is forthcoming.
