Well, despite the odd freeze and a few nightly blackouts, my setup of enviR, optismart and a couple of IAM's still can shed light on consumption patterns. I decided to use them on y Sky+ Satellite and HD rercorder and my Samsung LED TV. Some quite interesting results and some small scope for improvement |

Indeed, Sky boxes are very un-green ![]() With over 10 million in use I seem to recall that equals the output of an average power station to keep them all going. I only use PVR's that use under 1 watt in standby (under 0.5w for the more modern ones) and only wake up when they have to. http://ec.europa.eu/energy/efficiency/e ... ign_en.htm http://ec.europa.eu/energy/efficiency/e ... t_cstb.pdf Automan. |
