Having just purchased and installed a CC monitor, the next thing I naturally wanted to do was access and analyse my data. That's where I ran into the issue that so many people also seem to have found: there is no "straightforward" way to extract the historical data for analysis (in, for example, Excel). There are several threads relating to this, I am posting here since this thread seems to be still reasonably active and recent.
I am using the USB cable (not the bridge). I would like to be able to download the data from the monitor to my PC every now and then for analysis.
Yes, there are several third-party applications at , but the ones I have looked at so far seem to be unstable and many require additional software (python, graphing packages, etc.). Most also seem to focus on web-upload, which may be nice, but is more than I need to do. I just want to see my data! The "Unite home devices" site seems to be broken as well.
The C2 Terminal is VERY basic, and even that leaves you with an XML file (if you're lucky) which you can do little with. I haven't managed to get it to display historical data, only the live stream.
The historical data dump (OK and down buttons) also doesn't seem to work as advertised, or at least I am unable to make sense of it so far. It's also not clear how the one-minute-past-the-odd-hour delivery of historical data works.
So, in summary: 1. Is there an (easy) application out there that can pull the historical data from the monitor and convert it to a (standard) format like CSV for use in Excel or similar? 2. Does the historical data dump work, and if so what trick might I be missing?
If any application(s) is/are in development, I'd be happy to help with Beta testing.
