The Temperature that is displayed on the Web Site. Where is that measured at the Utility bow where the Current Coils are, or at the Display unit?

Thanks, I thought it must be in the Display. I have the Display in my Garage, which is normally cooler than the Summer outside temperature, so it reads 10 to 15 degrees LOW!

Thanks!

hello
how to calibrate the temperature because it is fun to see how this varies by model
26°c Envi cc128 black ; 27°c Envi clasic ; 23°c Envi cc128 White 22°c EnviR Black

thank you

bonjour
comment faire pour étalonner les températures car il es amusant de voir comment cela varie selon les modèle
26°c Envi cc128 noir ; 27°c Envi classique ; 23°c Envi cc128 blanc 22°c EnviR noir

merci

The temperature display is as accurate as the clock :)

has anyone had this sorted yet....considering most wall thermoments costing a few pounds can be very acurate, I find it a little hard to believe that these are not more reliable

I've encountered the same problem, so any info would be useful, to help solve the problem.

It is interesting to see the results from DidierRDV12 experiment. However, it is not a completely valid test since three different products are being used. To make it a better test you should use the same product.

My reason for this is that (without looking at the internal hardware) the temperature is probably measured using a standard thermistor connected to an ADC port, probably part of the micro-controller used in the design.

Each product may well have the locations of components in different areas and as such may be subject to different localised heating conditions.

It is important to realise that the measured temperature is that of the probe itself. Temperature in a room can vary wildly. Consider the the temperature at floor level and at ceiling level. It may help to think of a room temperature as a swirling mix of warm and cool air.

I notice that the higher temperatures are on the units to the left of the picture. Just behind them is some sort of bare circuit board probably mains powered. It could be giving off a bit of heat that can cause localised warming. What sort of lighting is used in the room/cupboard that the units are shown in? If it were a halogen spot light then it may be pointing more towards the left and that would have a result. Are there any localised draughts which would have a cooling effect. There are simply to many unknown factors that could affect the readings.

It would be interesting to swap the units around to see any if there were any changes in their readings.

Ultimately you would want to attach all of the (assumed) thermistors firmly together with a smearing of conductive paste in order to get a real test.

Don't forget the accuracy as well. I would expect (sadly) about +- 1 or 2 Deg C. Thermistors are designed to be most accurate at 0 DegC.

It would be nice if the units had a socket so that an external temperature probe could be connected via a cable so that it can be placed in an optimum location. Otherwise I would only expect the temperature readings to be a rough approximation of the conditions.
