Post subject:  IAM's - Any Plans To Incorporate Internal Surge Arresting?

I'd love Current Cost to manufacture IAM's to include inbuilt surge arresting, to protect the appliances they are plugged into.
How much would it add to the cost of IAM's to include this functionality?

Building surge protection in would put up the unit cost and weight.

Smaller would be nice at it looks like they are using the old case of the Ecomanger modules which had remote load switching also built in.

Again, not always a good idea unless it can be set to power on after a power cut or you may find the content of your freezer ruined.
