I've had a new electric meter fitted by e-on & it's caused a problem with my Envir monitor, I'm hoping someone here may be able to help.
My previous e-on meter had 4 cables out the bottom, the clamp was round the right most one and my Envir monitor showed all usage, both daytime use AND storage heaters use.
I've just discovered, that as the new electric meter has 5 wires out the bottom, it is only possible to see either normal usage or storage heater by moving the clamp, not both together.
With the clamp on the 4th from the left live wire, my Envir won't show me the KWHs the storage heaters are using. (as pictured below)
I then tried the clamp on the right most live wire, and this way my Envir shows ONLY the KWH usage from the storage heaters (and as they turn on or off).
I've been trying to search for answers before bothering people, but am just a bit confused about the best way to remedy the problem so I can see all my electric usage.
Do I need a 2nd Envir monitor now? If so, would 2 together not send conflicting signals to one another?
Or I read somewhere that getting an extra clamp may work, & do I see the bottom of my Envir transmitter has 3 holes in. Is it as simple as getting a 2nd clamp, putting 1 around the 4th wire & 1 around the 5th wire, & then plug both the clamps into the 1 transmitter in holes 1 & 2?
I also wondered if I could just put the clamp around both the 4th & 5th wires, but they seem too fat to get it around both.
Thanks in advance if anyone can suggest the best solution
